validation

If you have a minute, or 16, take it and watch this . . . kind of cheesy but it just might make you smile.

last day

Saturday was our last day on the mountain and Targhee is still buried under 12 feet of snow. I can't believe how much snow there is in the mountains! I can't wait to see what spring run off brings . . . Here are a few pics of us saying farwell to another spectacular ski season. We love you Targhee!

If you want a good laugh and haven't seen my dad's blog you'll have to check it out. You'll love the letters he gets from the fourth graders he visits.

baptism at nanny cay

The last picture I want to post is of this baptism at Nanny Cay. I thought the colors and setting were wonderfully picturesque.
Our trip was perfect. We can't wait to return to the BVI to explore new places and revisit all the ones we loved! Drew askes us every day if this is the day we get to go on "that fun sailing trip". I hope it will be sooner than later.

norman island

Our last full day was spent sailing with an afternoon anchorage at The Bight off of Norman Island. There was really fun snorkeling (even for me) in some caves. What a fantastic trip!

trellis bay

Trellis Bay, Beef Island, was a fun stop and the party place for the full moon and the new year if you happen to be in the BVI at that time. We also ate at The Last Resort, a restaurant on an island in the bay. It was good food and after dinner is served the chef comes out with a band for some live music. A good stop for an on shore dinner.

baths

The Baths on Virgin Gorda is a must see for anyone touring the islands.

anegada

We spent the next night in the north sound of Virgin Gorda. It was a perfectly manicured resort with snorkeling and a fun easy atmosphere and where I didn't get any pictures. It is to bad I didn't get one of me jumping off the dingy to snorkel, coming within 5 feet of a very large stingray, and jumping right back into the boat.
The next day we sailed 15 miles to Anegada. It is the third largest reef in the world. As you sail there you see a line of green clouds over the island. The clouds are green because there is so much shallow water, due to the huge reef, that the clouds turn green from the reflection. It was freaky weird. So if you are sailing and see green clouds don't sail under them you will be in a huge coral reef . . . not so good for sail boats.
Once on the island we took a taxi to Loblolly Bay where we went snorkeling and saw lots of fish including a large barracuda and 70 lb tarpon that I left soon after seeing because fish that big scare me. It is also amazing(and scary- yes I am afraid of snorkeling) to swim through coral canyons. Does it bother anyone else to be snorkeling with strange species that are hidden all over in dark places where you can't see them? However, even though I am a wimp I loved it!

peter island

Our first night at sea on the catamaran was spent off Peter Island. I love the setting for this resort. We woke up to a morning squall that passed quickly and left us a perfect rainbow.
